Three Travelers: World Music/Dance Concert

   Wednesday June 8, 2016 at 7 PM at Bob Rauschenberg Gallery at FSW

Dancer, Tamalyn Dallal, Flutist, Kat Epple, and Percussionist, Nathan Dyke, premiere their collaborative work of original dance and music. The music and dance takes the listener around the world and beyond with an unusual array of acoustic World instruments. An earthy, yet cosmic soundscape is created on World flutes, Australian Didgeridoo, Djembe drum, Ngoni African harp, Bawu, and Native American flutes.

Tickets – $10 suggested donation
Chairs will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring mats to sit on the floor if preferred.

Tamalyn Dallal, has performed and/or taught dance in 41 countries, has written three books, produced two music CD’s of African music, was a guest choreographer for the 1995 Superbowl Halftime Show in Miami, Fl. crowned “Miss America of the Bellydance” in 1995, and currently films ethnological dance documentaries including: Zanzibar Dance, Trance and Devotion, “Ethiopia Dances for Joy”, “Pockets of Treasure”, Dance and more in America’s deep south is Ms. Dallal’s current project.

Peabody, Edward R Murrow, and Emmy Award-winning composer and flutist, Kat Epple, has released 33 music albums, composed film scores for National Geographic, Nova, Valentino Fashions, and has performed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, United Nations, and Guggenheim Museums around the world. Kat is one of the founding members of the legendary vintage synthesizer Space Music duo, “Emerald Web”. She performs in concert, and also lectures about the power of music, and indigenous flutes which she has collected in her travels throughout the world.

Nathan Dyke is a multi-instrumentalist, specializing in percussion, didgeridoo, and Ngoni. He teaches drumming workshops, has recorded numerous CDs of original music, and practices energy-sound healing. Nathan resides in the mountains of North Carolina and often travels to perform in concert, and to facilitate sound healing workshops. He practices and studies native culture and ceremony.
