The Worldwide Peace Marker Project is a work of global installation art which embraces a vision of world peace and creates a network of prominent international artists who are all committed to working towards peace. The project, created by artist, Tiite, (http://www.tiite.com) plans for a stainless steel Peace Marker to be installed in every country of the world. Each marker becomes a part of the community, a concrete point of peace in its own country and unites with the other peace markers around the world to create a global peace matrix. An artist will be chosen in each country of the world, to serve as the Worldwide Peace Marker Project’s Ambassador to that country. This network of Journalists, painters, glass artists, musicians, sculptors, videographers, poets and dancers unite in a common vision of a peaceful Earth, environmental stewardship, world health, global cooperation and tolerance. For more info: www.WPMP.net

There are 6 markers on 3 continents already installed: Bosnia Herzogovina, Germany, Canada, Japan, and Republic of Turkey. Markers are scheduled to be installed in the near future in: Lebanon, Israel, Angola, Nepal, Panama, Democratic Republic of Congo, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Italy, Togo and Croatia.

Ms. Epple stated: “Through this project, I hope to connect with other artists and people of the world through the universal language of music, and to perhaps plant some seeds of peace.”

I would like to travel and perform as the Worldwide Peace Marker Project’s Artist Ambassador for the United States. The Worldwide Peace Marker Project (WPMP) is a work of global installation art which embraces a vision of world peace and creates a network of prominent international artists who are all committed to working towards peace. The project, created by artist, Tiite’ plans for a stainless steel Peace Marker to be installed in every country of the world. Each marker becomes a part of the community, a concrete point of peace in its own country and unites with the other peace markers around the world to create a global peace matrix. This network of Journalists, painters, glass artists, musicians, sculptors, videographers, poets and dancers unite in a common vision of a peaceful Earth, environmental stewardship, world health, global cooperation and tolerance. These artists, along with local and national politicians, will install the peace marker in a park or other public place. The project hopes to promote and encourage peace in the world by uniting the artists of the world. Artists have traditionally introduced new ideas which can result in change in society. The WPMP is composed of artists and people from all walks of life who come together in their common goal of peace in the world and in our lives. I was appointed as the US Ambassador for the WPMP, and I would like to be able to attend the installations of these peace markers, and represent the United States. Many of the upcoming installations are in countries which were involved in wars with the U.S. in the past, and I think that having someone attend their event, representing the U.S. and peace would be an important factor. I would like to perform my original composition titled “Prelude to World Peace” at these peace events to communicate even when there is a language barrier.
